I've been slow cooking for over a year. I have been trying various blog venues and approaches. I still have settled on one, but thought I would kick this off and see where it leads. Here is a view of several western Lake Erie islands from where I was standing atop the Perry Peace Memorial on South Bass Island (L. Erie). These islands contain some of the most interesting and important biological diversity in the Great Lakes basin ecosystem.
